Link Generations Long Distance Club

September 16 @ 4:00 pm 5:00 pm

Middle and high school students meet via Zoom with older adults to for interactive conversations that
benefit both age groups. First meeting in September will be orientation and planning for students only
to learn best practices for communicating with older adults. Older adults are invited to join monthly
intergenerational conversations starting in October.

Program Dates and Topics:
Monday, Sept. 16, 4-5pm – Student Training and Orientation
Monday, Oct. 21, 4-5pm – Seasonal Changes: What is your favorite month and why?
Monday, Nov. 18, 4-5pm – A Frightening Experience in Your Life: What made it scary and how did you
overcome your fear?
Monday, Dec. 16, 4-5pm – Foods That You Can Make by Yourself: What are they and how did you learn
to make them?
Monday, Jan. 13, 4-5pm – Books Throughout the Years: One from when you were very young and one
from recent years
Monday, Feb. 10, 4-5pm – Friendships: Who are your best friends and what qualities do they have that
you admire?

Monday, March 10, 4-5pm – A Problem For Your Generation: What is the most serious problem for your
generation today and what is a possible solution?
Monday, April 7, 4-5pm – What are You Most Proud of? What are your accomplishments (even small
ones) so far?
Monday, May 5, 4-5pm – Hope: What do you wish for at this point in your life? For yourself, your family,
your community, your world?
