Celebrate Gratitude and Thanksgiving with Link Generations
Thanksgiving and winter holidays remind us of the importance of being with family and friends. This year, we feel the need for togetherness more than ever, knowing that we need to stay physically apart to keep each other safe from the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Link Generations has had its busiest year to date making social connections between youth and older adults isolated by the pandemic. Details are shown in the graphic:
These numbers have grown exponentially since last year. Participants of all ages have expressed the need to connect with others. This isolating time has spotlighted for everyone the imperative mission of Link Generations, to combat social isolation and loneliness through connecting people of all ages.
We thank Link Generations supporters during this season for all you have done to help advance our mission!
Thank you to our student volunteers who devoted their time to writing thousands of positive messages and creating inspiring artwork!
- Thank you to our college interns for organizing those letters and cards, keeping our website updated and showing us how we can develop productive working relationships without actually meeting in person!
- Thank you to our older adult participants who have taught us about resilience and shared their wisdom for getting through this challenging time!
- Thank you to our brilliant board members who inspire us with their forward-looking vision!
- Thank you to our generous donors who make it possible for us to do all of these things!
